The Brebbia Foundation Award 2018

The Brebbia Foundation instituted a new prize in 2017, awarded annually to the best graduate of the branch of Engineering at the Military College of Argentina (Colegio Militar de la Nación).

The objective of the Brebbia Foundation is to promote advances in sciences and engineering, including training and research. It also aims to encourage new generations to study engineering sciences. The recipients are people of the highest integrity.

The 2018 Brebbia Foundation Award was given during the 147th Officer Graduation Ceremony of the Military College. Second Lieutenant Adrian Facundo MARAZ, who belongs to the Engineers’ branch, won the prize for obtaining the best academic marks (First average) in the Engineering branch. It was presented to him by the Deputy Director of the Military College Col Roberto Ariel Aguero.

In a message of appreciation, Second Lieutenant wrote: “I wanted to take a moment to extend my most sincere thanks for the award I was given at the Military College for my best academic average in the branch of Engineer.

“I consider the award as a stimulus for my profession and the institution to which I belong: The Argentine Army. It makes me feel proud and full of energy to achieve different goals in life.

“Also, I would like to express my sincere condolences for the loss of founder and Director of the Wessex Institute of Technology Engineer Carlos BREBBIA. He always showed his generosity by providing different prizes and awards.”
